What Makes This Property Unique? 

It is a log home in the shape of bee's honeycomb located less than 5 minutes to downtown Abingdon and The Virginia Creeper Trail!  It has been newly renovated from top to bottom into a lavish living space.  The rough hewn logs give the appearance of an old colonial log home, but the outside structure was actually built in 1980.  

Get to Know The Host 

My husband is a combat Army veteran and my college sweetheart that I adore after 20+ years of marriage.  We moved to this area in 2012 falling in love with the mountains’ beauty.  Our family of six was complete when we adopted our 4 beautiful multi-racial children.  I am grateful to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschool our kids in hopes of capturing all the moments of their fleeting childhoods.  Our family is a unique combination of structure and creativity.  Our days are active and full of learning, music, and adventures!  As a family, we are passionate about foster care, financial stewardship, and family time.

Beekeeping 

We are also local beekeepers and our children help to maintain several hives on our family's personal local property.  It has been such a fun, educational learning experience to maintain and care for our bees together.  Our youngest, an eight year old aspiring veterinarian, is the most active in caring for our hives.  If you would like to learn more about bees and beekeeping, we have provided educational reading material for your pleasure in your Villa.
